An Edmonton man who posted naked pictures of his underage girlfriend online after she dumped him has pleaded guilty to distributing child pornography.Brian Johnathan Schultz, 21, was in Court of Queen’s Bench yesterday for sentencing, however the hearing was put over after a dispute over a pre-sentence report.
According to agreed facts, Schultz met the victim on Nexopia, the Edmonton-based social networking website, and they began dating in the spring of 2006 when she was 16.
The couple began a consensual sexual relationship and would take digital pictures of themselves engaged in various sex acts and posing in various acts.
The girl, who cannot be identified under a court-ordered publication ban, ended the relationship in October 2006 because it was “rocky” and she felt threatened by the man on behalf of herself, her family and her cat.
Police found no evidence of any harm to the girl’s family or cat, or any physical harm to her.
The breakup was not amicable and Schultz made numerous unsuccessful efforts to re-establish the relationship.
On Oct. 21, 2006, the girl checked Schultz’s profile page on Nexopia and discovered he had posted a derogatory message about her with an offer to send out her nude photos.
She also saw that he had posted a picture of his wrist with a large number of scars and slash marks with a caption linking her stressing him out and him harming himself.
The girl complained to Nexopia and the text and photo were removed. She also said the wrist picture related to him slashing himself when his cousin died.
On Oct. 26, 2006, the teen again checked his profile page and saw two nude pictures of herself with some text offering further photos “showing more.”
She again contacted Nexopia and the pictures were removed.
Then she complained to the RCMP.
While an officer was interviewing her, Schultz called and she told him not to contact her any more. He responded by saying, “Have a good weekend and be paranoid.”
On Nov. 6, 2006, Schultz went to the girl’s home and tried to give her a diamond ring, but she told him to leave her alone. After she told police, Schultz was warned he would be charged with criminal harassment if he didn’t desist.
A day or so later he posted more nude pictures of the victim online with further derogatory messages.
He was then arrested, his computer was seized and he confessed to posting the pictures and messages.
It’s good that he has hobbies.
Google Can Still Give You Porn Thumbs
Good news for porn surfers.
The U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday reaffirmed its earlier support for the socially redeeming value of searching the Internet for nudie pictures.
The San Francisco court, in reviewing a case it initially considered in May, reiterated its finding that Google could display tiny versions of photographs by Perfect 10, a Beverly Hills adult publisher, in search results, even when those images are copyrighted.
The court focused on the legal question of which party holds the burden of proving whether Google’s use of Perfect 10’s images constituted a “fair use” under the copyright law. Fair use is a defense that entitles the use of copyrighted works, under certain circumstances, without the owner’s consent.
The appeals court initially said Perfect 10 held the burden of proving that Google couldn’t make its case. It corrected itself Monday, saying it was up to Google to articulate its defense, even in a case such as this one, which dealt with whether the courts could issue a preliminary injunction.
Nevertheless, the court said, Google met that test. The justices ruled that a larger public interest in searching for information - or, in this case, images of partially clad women - amounted to a “transformative use” that trumped Perfect 10’s copyright claims.
The small legal tweak did not change the appeals court’s original May decision.
It’s good news for porn sites too since many surfers find their way to porn sites through a Google Image Search. Perfect 10 would’ve made themselves very unpopular with everyone if they’d succeeded in killing the image search.

Cyclist Robbed by 300lb Prostitute
A 300-pound prostitute allegedly robbed a man of $100 before pedaling away on a blue beach cruiser, according to a police report obtained Tuesday.
The case of the hefty hooker happened about 1:10 a.m. Monday as the 32-year-old victim rode his bicycle south on South 17th Street when the assailant came up to him.”The female approached asking (the victim) did he want a date, which meant she wanted him to pay for some sex,” the report states.
The victim told investigators he felt sorry for the woman and pulled $10 from his wallet to give to her. That’s when she allegedly pushed him off his bicycle and wrestled him down. She snatched his wallet, stole $100 and then pedaled off.

Lori Drew is a Douche-and-a-half
13 year old Megan Meier met a guy named Josh on MySpace. They flirted and had “sexual’ conversations. The relationship turned and Josh became a dick culminating one night when he told her “the world would be better off without you.” Megan’s mom found her the next morning hanging from a belt in her closet.
Josh wasn’t a teenage boy though. As Megan’s parents found out a few weeks later Josh was actually Lori Drew, the mother of another girl who lived 4 doors down from them. This information was related to the police, but they didn’t feel like a crime was committed. Some law firms were interested at first, but their interest faded. The Meier’s wanted some sort of justice so they went to the media. Inevitably the Internet found out and the Internet was pissed.
The Drews’ house was added to the Rotten Neighbor website and the comments section exploded with vitriol.
The Drew’s have a business called Drew Advantage that mails out those crappy coupon stuffed envelopes you get in the mail. The business is being slammed at Yelp with some of the funnier comments I’ve read on the incident.
Someone changed Lori Drew’s voice mail message to this. (lulz)
Some anonymous person (possibly one of the Drews but we certainly can’t rule out that it might be some other super douche in their circle of friends) decided to strike back by creating a Megan Had It Coming blog.
Supposedly Lori Drew created the fake profile because she wanted to find out what Megan Meier might be saying about Lori’s daughter. As far as I can tell she hasn’t explained why she needed to maintain a fake relationship, or have sexual conversations, or end the relationship like that.

Missing Porn Star Led Double Life As A Student
A missing Kansas college student believed to be the victim of foul play led a double life as an Internet porn star by the name of Zoey Zane, a friend told The Associated Press on Wednesday.A young woman resembling 18-year-old Emily Sander appears nude in photos posted on a Zoey Zane Web site.
“She enjoyed it. She is a young teenage girl and she wanted to be in the movies and enjoyed movies. She needed the extra money,” said Nikki Watson, a close friend of Sander’s at Butler Community College. “Nobody in El Dorado knew besides her close friends.”
Police said they are aware of the Web site. But police investigator Chad Young would not confirm whether Sander is Zoey Zane and would not say whether the site was connected in any way to her disappearance.
Sander was last seen leaving a bar Friday in El Dorado, about 30 miles from Wichita, with a man identified as Israel Mireles, 24, authorities said. Sander and Mireles met that night at the bar, according to Watson.
Joe Terziu, owner of an Italian restaurant where Mireles worked, told The Wichita Eagle that he saw blood on a bed and carpet in the motel room where Mireles had been staying. Police have not confirmed the account.
A nationwide manhunt was under way for Mireles and his 16-year-old girlfriend. A rental car he had been driving turned up Tuesday in Texas.
Sander recently signed a contract for the pornographic work on the Web site, and told her parents about it on Thanksgiving, Watson said. Her boyfriend broke up with her because he did not approve, Watson said.
